The German Center for Venetian Studies (DSZV) is an interdisciplinary scientific institution located in the Palazzo Barbarigo della Terrazza, a sixteenth-century building on the Grand Canal. To make most of the vast collection of books accessible to the students and researchers, the library has been expanded. The new bookcases are located in the so-called fireplace-room and integrate lighting and an extractable projection screen for seminars or conferences in the shelves
